#UnitedWeWin follows four university students that travel 2,300 miles from London to the front lines of Iraq to see what the international community is doing in the fight against ISIS. They come across several of challenges while attempting to identify possible solutions to combat religious extremism and terrorism.
The #UnitedWeWin project aims to explore why there is a lack of understanding between cultural and religious groups around the world. With the rise of ISIL, millions of people have been displaced, thousands killed and dangerous rhetoric from all sides has deafened the universal attributes that once had the power to unite us all.
This project – as part of TheModCon – ultimately seeks to encourage the international community to unite against terrorism, breaking down racial and religious barriers that have grown ever more apparent through the growth of media technologies that allow for the proliferation of discriminatory rhetoric. To achieve this, a range of offline and online events shall be hosted by TheModCon, with every moment captured on film.
